Bees and the Bare Bones is the upbeat, girl-next-door duo, comprised of Madison Olds and Abby Wale. Together, they blur the lines of genre, their music connecting with fans of indie, folk, and pop.
Dazzling audiences with their engaging live performances, you can expect angst-y, relatable, tongue-in-cheek banter and genuine, charismatic personality.
Surprisingly, one month after joining forces, in July 2016, the band made their musical debut at the Big Valley Jamboree. As the national 2016 Chevy Tailgate winners, they went to Nashville where they recorded their first single, FOOL, which aired on CMT. In summer 2017, a career highlight was opening the mainstage for Kacey Musgraves and Willie Nelson at Rockin' River Fest. These performances allowed the duo to connect with a multitude of fans setting them on a trajectory of rising success.
Passionate about songwriting, they return to Nashville often to write with some of the world’s best and most talented writers; a dream come true. Inspired by Ed Sheeran, Chainsmokers, and Alessia Cara, Bees and The Bare Bones have fully embraced storytelling through their love of indie folk/ pop music while recording their upcoming album. Textured, layered, energetic and bright; these vibrant musicians weave stories of love, hate, relationships, victory and pain.
For Madison and Abby, the journey has been swift, humbling and awe inspiring. “When we’re performing, we want (the audience) to laugh and lose themselves for a while.”
Despite a busy schedule of writing, recording and performing, these bandmates make time for charitable events and have even been known to sing an anthem or two in support of local sports.
