Kiérah is an impressive, multi award winning Celtic fiddler from White Rock, B.C. After 13 years of classical violin, Kierah can play just about anything. However, with an Irish/Scottish heritage, her true passion is performing Celtic fiddle music from Ireland, Scotland and Cape Breton, which she studied alongside her classical training, developing into one of Canada’s finest fiddle musicians.
Kiérah’s powerful yet playful performance style, her musicality and technical ability all give her performances an amazing fullness, even when playing solo. Blending her original tunes with traditional, Kiérah consistently impresses and captivates audiences of all ages. She often shares funny stories of her travels and the inspirations behind the writing of her tunes.
Kiérah loves to work with creative Celtic/Jazz guitarist Adam Dobres (The Ruth Moody Band) appreciating his unique and impressive approach to traditional music; incredible multi instrumentalist and producer Adrian Dolan (The Bills & The Ruth Moody Band) as well as percussionist Robin Layne (Locarno).
“Stonemason’s Daughter”, Kiérah’s 3rd studio album, received a 2013 Canadian Folk Music Award.
Kiérah's newly released album "Strong Bow", is a powerful demonstration of her virtuosity as a fiddler showcasing her unique style of composition.
