Kornel Wolak has performed with numerous ensembles including the renowned Quartetto Gelato and the Wolak-Donnelly Duo and also appears regularly in recitals as a chamber musician and as a soloist with many American and European orchestras.
Kornel is a “Fryderyk” nominee, Poland’s highest recording award and can often be heard on the CBC, Classical 96.3 and NPR. As a soloist/clarinet clinician, he has toured and taught master classes in Europe, Asia and both Americas. His interests include art history, religion, philosophy, and poetry, and in his native Poland his poems have been published in young poets’ magazines and compilations. He is the founder of Music Mind Inc., an initiative that creates music education programs for Canadian schools and communities.
