Recognized by the critic as an accomplished technician and authentic musician, Canadian pianist Jimmy Brière has established himself as one of the most interesting Canadian pianist of his generation. He has been guest soloist with the Montréal Symphony Orchestra, the Québec Symphony Orchestra and I Musici de Montréal, to name a few. He is invited regularly in festivals such as the Lanaudière Festival, the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival, the International Festival of Domaine Forget and the Orford Festival. Outside Canada, he has appeared as soloist, recitalist or in chamber concerts in Dallas, Cleveland, Chicago, Indianapolis, is Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria and Israel. He has also recorded for Analekta and XXI-21. First Prize winner of the Hong Kong International Competition, prize winner of the Porto International Competition and Gold Medalist of the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, Jimmy Brière is Associate Professor at the Université de Montréal.
