Independent Music Award nominee Christie Grace is a Canadian jazz singer/songwriter from Bowen Island, BC known for blending modern jazz with pop, folk and R&B influences. For 20 years, she's delighted audiences with her alto/mezzo/soprano vocal range while performing jazz standards and original compositions. Since 2000, she has released three studio albums, Late Bloomer, Contemplation, and her latest release, Golden Thread, produced by Juno Award-winning pianist Chris Gestrin. Golden Thread was released September 2016 at VSO's Pyatt Hall in Vancouver to a sold out audience and continues to receive regular airplay across Canada, Europe and the United States. Over her career, Christie has collaborated with a notable cast of Canadian and U.S. jazz musicians, including Grammy Award-winning American composer John Proulx, Bill Runge, Buff Allen, Miles Black, James Danderfer, Joel Fountain, Richie Iacona, Daryl Jahnke, Stan Keen, NEA Master Sheila Jordan, Madeline Kole, Bill Sample, Jesse Zubot, Juno Award winner Jodi Proznick and National Jazz Award winner Bill Coon. “Christie Grace has a sound that washes over you like sweet honey and fine wine.
