RAGMOP Theatre presents HOTEL VORTRUBA, an other worldly place where finding shelter is not so simple. The duo (U.S. Circus Artist Matthew “Poki” McCorkle & Canadian Clown Nayana Fielkov) use the mediums of magic, mime, mask, puppetry, illusions, shadow projections, dance, live song, and circus arts to create their unique blend of critically acclaimed physical comedy suitable for all ages. In HOTEL VORTRUBA floating lamps, leaky roofs, creaky floorboards, and a giant remote controlled rat tells the story of a wandering guest confronting a proprietor who has been hiding his true self.

RAGMOP created their work through Artists in Residency programs at Tanzzentrale (Nürnberg, Germany 2015) and the Lookout Arts Quarry (Bellingham, WA, USA). They have received the acclaim of: Best of Fest, Artist Pick, and Holdovers (Edmonton Fringe); Best Ensemble, Critics' Pick (Toronto Fringe); Joanna Maratta Award, and Mollie Bradley Award (Vancouver Fringe) and nominated for many more. In 2016 They sold out the entire run in Edmonton and returned the following year to play the festival’s largest venue to sold out houses again.
