A hilarious, heartbreaking monologue about consciousness and friendship from award-winning novelist and former Canadian poetry SLAM champ Brendan McLeod. “Brain” maps Brendan’s experiences as a teenager struggling to understand his obsessions to an adult battling psychosis. A nuanced journey through the nature of thought, and an optimistic exploration of the importance of friendship, Brain is an upbeat, intense comedy about the miracle of the mind.

Brendan McLeod is a Toronto based writer, performer, and musician. He is the author of one novel, a one woman play, and a monologue about Canadian history. He’s the founder of the music group The Fugitives, which have been nominated for multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards and Western Canadian Music Awards. He is a former Canadian SLAM poetry champion and World runner-up.

Please note: Brain is 55-minute monologue. The show can be booked by itself or with an option second act consisting of Brendan McLeod's original stories, songs, and poems, in which case it can be billed as 'Brain & Other Stories'.
