Greatly influenced by the music of Django Reinhardt, young virtuoso guitarist of Taiwanese origin Denis Chang's formative years were spent alongside the greatest Jazz Manouche guitarists as well as major influences from great musicians like Bach, Chopin, George Benson and Michael Jackson. As a teacher, he is very solicited. His instructional DVDs are very successfull and during his tours, he likes to give workshops. In 2009, Django’s Anniversary year, Denis is very busy touring across Quebec and he is going back to the USA. He received the Entrée en Scène Award by Loto-Quebec and the Résidence Award in Quebec City at the Rideau 2009 showcase.
